Editorial Policy

Winter News is an automated RSS digest. The system regularly fetches selected English-language feeds and stores metadata, a short summary, publication time, category, and a direct link to the original publisher.

Each card shows the source, source publication time, and a “Read at source” link. Full articles, photos, and videos are not copied; external images are displayed only by URL when supplied in RSS metadata. When a feed does not provide image metadata, Winter News uses local artwork.

Sources are selected for stable RSS availability, neutral subject matter, direct links to original items, and clear publisher identity. Sources may be disabled for repeated technical failures, duplicates, unreliable metadata, sensitive-topic drift, or rights concerns.

Editorial processing is limited to technical normalization: unsafe markup removal, deduplication, category assignment, source attribution, summary truncation, and sensitive-topic filtering. Winter News does not present external material as original reporting.

Corrections are handled after review. Incorrect titles, timestamps, links, sources, categories, or disputed summaries can be corrected or removed. Contact contact@winternews.duckdns.org.
